OUTDOOR LIVING….

With sunny days and long bright evenings upon us, our Patios and Gardens are becoming more prominent. Whether we like it or not we spend a lot of time there, and the kids certainly do, so its important to give it attention this time of year, and get ready for “SUMMER”.

If you are lucky enough to have the Patio Area off the kitchen, with plenty of glass and views of the garden, of course south facing,  and direct access from kitchen then your on the “pigs back”. This is the best place for a patio if possible, making it easier for B.B.Qs and entertaining, and even kiddie parties keeping the mess outside, and still within quick reach of the kitchen. But most of us are not that lucky so try and keep it as close to the kitchen as possible.

The Patio Area should flow from indoors to outdoors with our Interior Style and colour scheme, making them as harmonious as possible, especially when the patio is visible from the house. This then becomes our outdoor area.

This is a great idea, getting kiddies to help plant flowers in old wellies. An instant burst of colour.

In our climate this very simple fire would add plenty more hours of chatting and reminiscing after B.B.Q.

If you like Alfresco Dining, you will love this, easy to make just remove middle plank of  picnic table, and insert trough like metal bucket. Fill with ice to keep drinks cool.

I just love candles and lantern, there function is far more important than keeping flys and bugs at bay, they add just enough light to see guests, and create a cozy comfortable atmosphere.

Hope you enjoyed this post, now all we need is SUN,SUN,and more SUN!!!!
